  2. Educational Lecture:“America’s Entry into WWI”

    Presented by Robert Holden, a retired senior adjunct Professor of history at ACCC. Part Two of the World War One Presentation.The story traces the rise of America as a world power with the beginning of the Spanish American War. This will be a presentation of how Hollywood dealt with the tragedies of the World War through films produced in the 1930’s and then later in the 20th century. Discussions of each film will be encouraged by participants. In addition to the films, Mr. Holden will bring his entire collection of World War One helmets, hats, medals and other items.

    Don’t miss this new holiday tradition for the entire family brought to you by the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Gerald M. Thornton - Director Leonard C. Desiderio - Vice-Director, E. Marie Hayes, Will Morey, Jeffrey L. Pierson. The celebration will include live holiday music, an ice sculpture demonstration, the polar express train ride, bounce house castle & slide, a story reading, a performance by the Cape May Dancers, Olaf and a visit by the jolly man himself in the red suit. An animal created art show "Art Gone Wild" will be held in the Courtyard from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm sponsored by the Cape May County American Association of Zookeepers.
